Save the Child Foundation
At Save the Child Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a world where all children, especially those with special needs and from underprivileged backgrounds, are given the opportunity to thrive.
Our working areas encompass gender equality, period poverty alleviation, education, and empowerment initiatives, all aimed at fostering holistic growth for underprivileged and special needs children, particularly focusing on girls.
As of 2025, we have
- disbursed $5.1 million in grants, funding projects that transform lives and empower communities.
- reached 325,000 children, providing essential support in education, healthcare, and holistic development.
-distributed 4.2 million meals to tackle hunger and food insecurity in underserved areas.
-engaged with 950+ projects, investing directly and indirectly to create sustainable change.

The Save the Child General Fund provides flexible, ongoing support that powers the foundation’s Strategic Nurturing Environment . By directing resources where vulnerability is highest, general contributions enable community-led initiatives across India, Nepal, Uganda, and Kenya to deliver sustainable, long-term transformation.
Core Pillars Powered by the Fund:
- Gender Equality & Protection: Funding supports scholarships, safe spaces, and mentorship that keep girls in school while advancing "Survivor Leadership" to prepare vulnerable youth to lead their own communities .
- Health & Period Dignity: Contributions break down biological and social barriers by financing sustainable menstrual solutions (such as PariPads, AfriPads, and reusable period underwear) and essential health infrastructure .
- Education as a Shield: Investments in academic and vocational training serve as a proactive defense against human trafficking, child labor, and generational poverty .
