About Nazaria Arts Collective -2026 Wishlist
At Nazaria Arts Collective, we believe that the best stories are told by those who live them.
This year, with your support, we trained 75+ young adults through our Kahani Lab and directly impacted 400+ students through our in-school media program. Young people from Mumbai’s low-income communities are picking up cameras, writing scripts, and seeing their own realities reflected on screen for the first time.
But we are just getting started. Next year, we are launching Basti Media School – a full-time, accredited media diploma program for 100+ young adults to get career-ready for the creative industry. This will be a space where talent meets opportunity, and where financial barriers do not decide who gets to tell India’s stories.
However, as we grow, our equipment is struggling to keep up. Our cameras are aging. Our lab computers are insufficient. Our editing stations are overbooked.
We have created a 2026 Wishlist – a clear list of equipment we urgently need to meet this year’s impact goals and build the foundation for Basti Media School.
